Deep Well Monitoring

Geological Bureau of Water Environment Institute recently in the implementation of "along the yellow ecological and economic zone of groundwater resources development and utilization and ecological environmental protection effects of the investigation and evaluation" project, successfully completed the country's deepest continuous multi-channel monitoring wells, wells into the depth of 200 meters, the outer diameter of 105 millimeters, the diameter of the pass is greater than 30 millimeters, divided into seven layers of the monitoring, a new record of the country's big The 7-channel monitoring well with an external diameter of 105 mm and a through diameter of more than 30 mm was monitored in 7 layers, setting a new record for the deepest large diameter 7-channel monitoring well in China at 150 meters.

In the construction of the project, WRI introduced for the first time the "continuous multi-channel tube groundwater multi-layer monitoring well drilling and well formation process", which has the advantages of building fewer wells, occupying a small area, accurate monitoring window setting, low construction cost and high efficiency, breaking the traditional single-tube, nested groundwater monitoring well mode. At the same time, the project team members, through careful organization and scientific construction, innovated the process of pipe-lowering and well washing, overcame technical difficulties such as high buoyancy of pipe-lowering, and instability of borehole wall caused by "exceeding the standard" of slurry replacement in punching, etc., and completed the construction of the well with high quality, realizing the monitoring of data on the temperature, quality and level of groundwater at the same location and at different depths.

It is understood that the successful implementation of the monitoring well is of great significance for deepening the study of groundwater cycle in the metropolitan area and guiding the rational development of groundwater resources and ecological environmental protection. The purpose of monitoring is mainly to study the dynamic relationship between groundwater and lake water; deepen the study of groundwater hydrological process on the basin scale, and provide basic conditions for the construction of a large depth multi-dimensional critical marking index system groundwater resource model.
